Protect Orange County members say the CPV power plant in Wawayanda should be shut down, since, as they say, it was only made possible through backdoor deals from newly-convicted ex-Andrew Cuomo aide Joe Percoco.

Percoco was convicted of selling his power in New York State government for more than $300,000 worth of bribes. Protect Orange County says permits for the power plant should be pulled, and lawmakers and state leaders should launch an investigation.

"You know, I don't believe a company that is doing business before the state, certainly on a matter as critical as a power plant project, should be allowed to donate to elected officials that would have oversight over that," said Protect Orange County member Pramilla Malick.

CPV said in a statement that there's no evidence the permits should not be valid.
