The stages are almost set for opening day at Resorts World Catskills casino near Monticello in Sullivan County. Casino officials say they are "ready for prime time." Playing the slots and tables may not be for everyone, but the team says they will have plenty of other entertainment.

Chief Marketing Officer Robert Victoria says that when the doors open on February 8, the resort casino will feature three stages with a full range of acts nearly every day of the week. Stages will feature an array of musical performers, high-end DJs and piano bars.

The campus will also have a large-scale event space inside of the casino called the 'Epicenter,' complete with sky boxes, moveable walls and versatility to accommodate all kinds of events.

"It's 27,000 square feet, we can seat very comfortably 2,500 people in there with a great big stage," said Victoria. "It's set up to do anything we want from boxing to live entertainment to comedians. Every seat's a great seat there."

Victoria said they also hope to partner with Bethel Woods on offerings and that adding this new venue will help local businesses around the region. Next Thursday's opening will be the first of two events. Later in the year, they are planning a grand opening featuring headline entertainment.
