A truckload of support is heading from the Hudson Valley to Houston.

The Hyde Park Police Benevolent Association partnered with a few fire departments to fill a truck with donations for those dealing with devastating floods in Texas.

Hundreds of people from around the region started dropping off donations at 7 a.m., and continued for hours. Non-perishable food, bottled water, clothing, baby formula and diapers and pet supplies are all being taken for the victims of Harvey.

"The response we've had from the community, from our local businesses, has been overwhelming," said Hyde Park police officer Justin Felicello. "I'm a family guy, so when you take all these things, we are one big family."

PBA members will now make the long drive with all those collected supplies. They are going to the Austin Disaster Relief Network.
