SAUGERTIES, N.Y. -- The Catskill Animal Sanctuary celebrates vegan living with it's 15th annual Shindig Saturday.

The event featured live music, plenty of food and vendors, and guest speakers.

People also got a chance to meet some of their favorite rescued farm animals.

The event raises money for the sanctuary, but organizers say it's not about the money.

They say they're grateful to be able to teach community members about their mission.

"What ever we get is a bonus on top of doing effective outreach on behalf of the animals as a way of also thanking this community that has welcomed us for the last 15 years," said Kathy Stevens, Catskill Animal Sanctuary director.

Organizers say this event continues to get bigger, drawing more and more people every year.
