The Army football team is in mourning after one of their cadets dies in a single-car accident in Croton.
Brandon Jackson was a sophomore at the West Point Military Academy and a starting defensive back on the football team.
Just hours before he died, he played in Saturday's home opener game and helped the team win against Rice with two solo tackles and one assisted tackle.
West Point's superintendent says Jackson had a "promising future as a leader in service to our nation."
Many details about the accident are unknown at this time; however, it is under investigation.
