The body of a missing kayaker in Chautauqua County's Sunset Bay has been found.
Sheriff Joe Gerace said the body of Dylan Lathrop, 20, was discovered around 10 a.m. Thursday. Lathrop had gone kayaking with some friends in Cattaraugus Creek Tuesday night when rough waves caused them to capsize. Three of them were rescued.
Lathrop's body was found close to where the incident happened. Authorities said the recovery efforts were hampered by extremely poor visibility. They said the recovery was made in about 16 feet of water.
