Arlington Central School District sends a warning home to parents about a suspicious person seen on school grounds several times last week.

The West Road Intermediate School principal sent a letter home to parents on Monday notifying them that a man was on school grounds Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday around dismissal.

The letter says he was asked to leave school grounds, which he did without any incident. He did not have contact with any children.

Police were called, and said the man's suspicious behavior was not grounds for an arrest.

The man is about six feet tall and 60 years old. He was driving a late model, silver Lincoln town car.

The district also apologized to parents for not notifying them sooner. The district is reviewing its handling of the situation and current communication protocols.
