Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash on Saturday in the town of Pleasant Valley.
Police say 25-year-old Frederick Eberhard III, and Alysha Simp-fender-fer of Poughkeepsie, were killed when the driver lost control of the motorcycle while going around a sharp turn on South Avenue near Plass Road.
Eberhard was pronounced dead at the scene and Simp-fender-fer was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say both were wearing helmets but speed most likely contributed to the crash.
