POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Poughkeepsie Police are investigating a death in the city.

Police say a body was found in the woods next to Sculpture Park on Main Street.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who appeared to have been dead for no more than 24 hours.

They say they do not expect any foul play, but the death is still under investigation.

Police say the man did not have identification on him.

"We'll take his finger prints at the autopsy. We'll run his finger prints through the database and see if it comes back on anybody. Other than that, we'll have to use word of mouth on trying to identify him," said Detective Lt. Matt Clark of the Poughkeepsie Police Department.

Police say an autopsy will be conducted no later than Wednesday.
