Patti Mack says there’s nothing quite like a home-cooked meal, and she knows what it feels like to need one.
“My step daughter passed away this year. When somebody came to the house I had no idea who they were, and they brought all of this food. It was just one less thing that I had to worry about,” says Patti Mack, a Lasagna Love volunteer.
What You Need To Know
- Lasagna Love will have a volunteer bring a warm meal to your door if you're in need
- Anyone can request a meal
- Deliveries are contactless
Lasagna Love is a national organization that allows Patti to combine her love for cooking with her passion for helping others.
When someone requests a meal on the Lasagna Love website, a volunteer that’s closest is paired up to make it. Anyone can request a meal, no matter the situation.
“And I saw that they had this program right here in our community. So I can make one lasagna ... I could make two lasagnas and give it to somebody that can’t do it or is going through a hard time,” Mack said.
Deliveries are contactless and volunteers will leave the warm meal right at your door, enough for everyone in the family.
