NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A Niagara Falls man was found guilty of assaulting a Japanese tourist visiting Niagara Falls back in 2015.
Robert Macleod, now convicted of sexual assault and robbery, attacked Koyuki Nakahara on Christmas Day 2015 while she was visiting the falls.
To help send a message that targeteing tourists will not be tolerated, the District Attorney's Office brought Nakahara back to the United States to help the prosecution's case.
Macleod learns his sentence on March 24.
