SAUGERTIES, N.Y. -- The sister of pop sensation Mariah Carey has been arrested on prostitution charges in Ulster County.
Police arrested Alison Carey in a Saugerties hotel on Friday after she met with a police officer posing as a client.
They say the 55-year-old advertised her services on the internet.
Carey was sent to Ulster County Jail on $1,000 cash bond.
She's scheduled back in court next week.
Alison Carey has a history of prostitution arrests, drug problems and has said she's HIV positive.
