Town of Poughkeepsie police are investigating a suspicious death in the city. 

Police say the body of 38-year-old Chrystel Yager was found at the Marriott Residence Inn on South Road. They say Yager rented a room there for one night and died at some point between Sunday and Monday.

Police say her family is helping with the investigation. It's unclear how Yager died.

Police say there is no danger to the public.
