The Newburgh Armory Unity Center is getting a helping hand to purchase sanitization equipment that will help programs for kids and families make a comeback.

Spectrum provided a donation of $4,000 Thursday. The money will buy a specialized cleaning system to give the Unity Center another layer of protection against COVID-19.

Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey pointed to all the Center does that will be helped by the donation.

"We have to make sure we're all working in collaboration ... mathematics, science,” Harvey said.

The Newburgh Armory Unity Center depends on community support to help keep its programs running.
