ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The closing of a call center in Henrietta could send nearly 200 jobs out of the region.

Unisys Corporation says it will close its call center on Kenneth Drive by the end of the year.

However, within the next several months the company expects to start transitioning jobs from Henrietta to a client service center in Georgia.

Henrietta Town Supervisor Jack Moore says the move hurts the community.

"Well again it goes back to if you don't have jobs for people in your community, that's a huge concern for everybody so that's why I work everyday to try to bring business to Henrietta to be honest with you," Moore said.

The move is expected to affect 178 people according to a posting on the state's department of labor website.
