Here's what type of weather you could expect as you head to the polls on Election Day.
The good news is we have increasingly warm weather returning on Nov. 5, but would we need an umbrella?
That would depend on the location of your polling place here in New York state.
Our temperatures begin in the 40s-and-50s Tuesday morning and we end up with highs mostly in the 60s across the state!
After a tranquil start to the week, our ridge of high pressure fades away as a slow moving trough with a warm front enters Western New York on Election Day, Tuesday.
While a few rain showers are possible throughout much our Tuesday, it appears that Western New York is the most likely area to get wet while other counties, further east remain dry.
As for Central New York, the North Country and Southern Tier, temperatures would also run milder than normal with cloudy skies, a south breeze and only scattered, light rain shower come Tuesday afternoon and evening.
For Eastern New York's Capital Region and Hudson Valley, conditions look to turn cloudy with mostly dry conditions until later at night, perhaps until after the polls close.
Overall, a few raindrops shouldn't hinder your trip to the polls and the mild temperatures would be a bonus for early November! Happy voting!
