WEATHER HEADLINES:

→ Areas of Frost Develops Overnight

→ More Sunshine for Tuesday

→ Even Cooler Heading into the Weekend

Some spots had to dodge a little bit of rain at times for today, but that will continue to wrap up.

Otherwise, the lingering cloud cover from today will gradually clear out for tonight as temperatures continue to tumble.

LOWS TONIGHT:

North Country: Mid 20s Adirondacks - Mid 30s
Central New York: Upper 20s - Mid 30s
Southern Tier: Upper 20s - Mid 30s

Some sensitive plants could be damaged, if not killed, with temperatures that cold first thing Tuesday morning as frost will be fair game in spots.

Otherwise, Tuesday will see way more sunshine from north to south. Even with the added sunshine, temperatures will stay cool.

HIGHS TUESDAY:

North Country: Mid 40s Adirondacks - Low 50s
Central New York: 40s - Low 50s
Southern Tier: Upper 40s - Mid 50s

Some more clouds will start to filter in across the Southern Tier and Central New York as the sun gets ready to set on Tuesday. It’ll take longer for the cloud cover to reach the North Country, but more clouds than sunshine is expected area-wide for Wednesday.

There will be a system that passes by to our south on Wednesday, but some rain may graze parts of the Southern Tier. The farther north you are, the least likely you are to see rain on Wednesday as high temperatures top out in the 50s.

INTERACTIVE RADAR: North Country - Central New York - Southern Tier

Scattered showers will be fair game for Thursday with highs in the 50s, but high temperatures will tumble for the end of the week.

There will be some more unsettled weather to contend with for Friday and the weekend, as well. As daytime highs in the 40s to near 50 cool down into the 30s, pockets of chilly rain could try to mix over to some snowflakes in spots.
