Lake snow will continue to gradually drop to the south and break up into snow showers and squalls heading into Saturday morning.

Lows Tonight:

  • Central New York: Teens
  • Northern New York: 0s/10s
  • Southern Tier: Teens

Lake effect snow showers and squalls continue southeast of Lake Ontario on Saturday with a few flurries likely outside of this main lake effect zone. Highs on Saturday will be unseasonably cold, only reaching the teens and 20s. Factoring in the breezem wind chills will be in the single digits and teens.

Temperatures recover into the 20s and 30s on Sunday as lake snow showers come to an end.  Skies will start rather cloudy, but increasing sunshine is likely through the afternoon.

By the time Monday rolls around, chances for precipitation in the form of rain and snow showers increase once again. Temperatures will also turn more spring-like, with daytime highs in the 40s.

Highs will remain in the 40s for a considerable portion of next week. However, precipitation chances will remain high through at least Thursday.
