Sunday morning is dry with increasing clouds. That will change with an inbound winter storm. Snow will spread in area-wide from southwest to northeast, and could fall moderate to heavy at times.

Expect slick, slow travel with snow covered roads and reduced visibility. Some icy spots are possible with the development of a wintry mix of sleet/freezing rain in the middle of the day.

From the Thruway and points south, there could be a break with some dry time during the afternoon, but precipitation redevelops into the evening.

Sunday night into Monday is where we can find the heaviest snow. Any wintry mix changes over to plan snow into Monday morning.
Snow is expected to continue into Monday while becoming more scattered in nature, but there will still be additional snow accumulation. Preliminary totals can be found below:
Late Monday is when this winter storm finally makes its exit.
Tuesday looks dry. Some light mixed precipitation is possible Wednesday.
After another dry day on Thursday, a wintry mix is possible again on Friday.
No major winter weather systems are in sight for the rest of next week. We may even find more sunshine next weekend as we stay colder than average.
