Saturday will be the nicer of the two weekend days with partly to mostly sunny skies. Saturday will remain colder than average with highs in the 20s and 30s.
Clouds will be on the increase ahead of our next weather system expected to move in early Sunday morning. Widespread snow looks to begin before noon for Central New York and early afternoon for the North Country with snow/wintry mix possible for the Southern Tier. Expect messy road conditions for those traveling home or back to school on Sunday.
Most precipitation turns to snow into late Sunday with lingering snow persisting into Monday afternoon. This winter storm will greatly impact travel from Sunday into Monday. Quieter conditions should temporarily build in for Tuesday.
