WEATHER HEADLINES:
→ Quiet and More Comfortable Tonight
→ Plenty of Sunshine Thursday
→ Nice Mainly Dry Stretch Ahead
An evening shower or storm will give way to clear to partly cloudy skies and dry weather overnight. It will be a notably more comfortable night than the past few with lower temperatures and less humidity.
Lows Tonight:
- Central New York: 55 - 62
- Northern New York: 40s/50s, coolest in the Adirondacks
- Southern Tier: 50s/60
On Thursday, we can expect plenty of blue sky and sunshine. It is shaping up to be a fantastic day to be outdoors. Just don't forget the sunglasses and sunscreen; UV indices will be running high for the first day of August.
Highs Thursday:
- Central New York: 78 - 83
- Northern New York: 77 - 83
- Southern Tier: 78 - 83
Friday will feature much of the same. Mostly sunny skies are expected along with seasonably warm highs in the mid-80s.
The upcoming weekend is looking primarily dry for now, but a couple showers or thunderstorms cannot completely be ruled out, especially across Central New York and the Southern Tier. Highs on Saturday will remain in the 80s, but some locations will drop into the upper-70s on Sunday.
Our mainly dry stretch of weather will continue into Monday before rain chances return headed toward the middle of next week.
