Q: Just wondering why with all the Police being killed on the roadways while out of their vehicles are they not required to wear any Hi-Viz vests or jackets to prevent drivers from killing them?

A: . I reached out to a number of local law enforcement about wearing reflective gear. They all responded they are required to wear reflective gear during checkpoint operations, when directing traffic and as soon as possible when responding to an accident. Other tactical requirements for other responses would not allow for reflective gear to be a safe option for law enforcement. It is always the drivers ultimate responsivity to slow down and move over though to avoid hazards. When you see an active scene, the law requires the driver to move over. Wishing you miles of smiles!
