OSWEGO, N.Y. — Start your engines: Super Dirt Week has arrived at the Oswego Speedway.

Race cars made their way through Oswego Wednesday during the annual kickoff parade.

This is the second year the Oswego Speedway is hosting the event, previously held at the state fairgrounds in Syracuse.

Officials made some changes to deal with inclement weather.

But overall -- they say it's a great venue to handle the event.

And other locations are also being used.

"Last night we were at Rome/Utica Speedway, tonight we're at Weedsport Speedway, tomorrow night we're at Brewerton Speedway, and then Saturday night we've got the greatest show on dirt - World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is at Fulton," said Jeff Hachmann, director of events for World Racing Group, Super Dirt Week’s organizer.

And all that excitement leads up to the main event in Oswego.

The green flag drops at 2 p.m. Sunday.
