The New York State Fair Food Fest is going to be expanding this weekend.

Rides and games will be added back into the program this week due to easing COVID-19 restrictions.

This comes as the state Department of Health released guidance about reopening amusement rides. The new guidelines will require mask wearing, constant cleaning, social distancing, as well as temperature checks and health screenings.

Some of the rides set to debut this weekend include the Avengers Ride, the scrambler, spinning apples and the youth roller coaster.

The festival is open this Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the New York State Fairgrounds.
