The Orange football team found out five of its 12 kickoff times for the 2021 season Thursday, and three of them will be played under the lights.

Syracuse will open the campaign on a Saturday night in Athens, Ohio on September 4, in a game slated to start at 7 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network. The Orange will also play two Friday night games in 2021, starting with an 8 p.m. home game against Liberty on September 24, and continuing with another Friday home game against ACC powerhouse Clemson on October 15, a nationally-televised game scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Two other kickoff times were revealed Thursday, including the Dome opener, a 2 p.m. start against former Big East rival Rutgers, which is once again being coached by SU nemesis Greg Schiano. The New Jersey native went 6-5 against Syracuse in his first stint with the Scarlet Knights, winning all four of his games against former Orange coach Greg Robinson.

SU will also host UAlbany in an afternoon contest on Saturday, September 18, a game that's slotted for a noon kick on the ACC Network. The Rutgers and Liberty games will also be televised by the ACC Network. The seven remaining games on the schedule are all slated for Saturdays with kickoff times to be determined.
