Back in February, the SU men's lacrosse team had no issues when they hosted Virginia. Everything was going right in what ended up being a 20-10 thrashing of the reigning national champs. Heading into the rematch on Saturday, both teams look a lot different.

The big storyline coming in for Cuse was the absence of attack Chase Scanlan, who has been suspended from the team for an unknown violation. Another storyline revolved around injuries, which SU has struggled with as of late. Owen Seebold came in as the starting attack in place on Scanlan, and he definitely delivered. Seebold was a major contributor for the Orange with two goals and two assists in a 13-11 win over Virginia.

"The team as a whole played with a lot of energy that we haven't seen in the last few games," Seebold said. "I just thought that the energy of the whole team and me being prepared for that opportunity, we all just kind of meshed."

With the win over the fifth ranked 'Hoos, SU improves to 6-4 and 2-3 in ACC play. Next up they'll hit the road to play second ranked ranked Notre Dame Saturday at noon.
