Syracuse police say one person has died and three people were injured as a result of a Monday night shooting along Bellevue Avenue.
Investigators say a number of shots were fired at a car around 9:50 Monday night along the 400 block of Bellevue Avenue on the south side.
When police arrived, they say they found a 44-year-old person shot in the chest; the man, identified as Demond Jones, was Upstate Medical University Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Two other shooting victims, a 34-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, were taken privately to Upstate, both with non-life-threatening wounds, according to police. A fourth victim, a 44-year-old man, was taken privately to Upstate Community Hospital was a non-life-threatening wound.
