A state of emergency remains in effect until further notice for a number of towns in Steuben County on Monday including Addison, West Union, Woodhull, Tuscarora, Troupsburg, Greenwood, Canisteo and Jasper due to flash flooding that began last Wednesday and continued into last Thursday.
Officials say the American Red Cross Shelter at the Tuscarora Elementary School will close Thursday afternoon.
Anyone in need of further assistance with housing is asked to call 211.
