Gov. Kathy Hochul says State Police will increase patrol of at-risk locations across New York in response to Iran launching missiles at Israel earlier Tuesday.
Hochul said there are no reported threats at this time and she took part in a counter-terrorism Tuesday afternoon.
"We will ensure all can feel safe to gather & worship in their communities," Hochul wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Iran launched at least 180 missiles into Iran, many of which were intercepted before striking.
Israel has promised retaliation. The U.S. military helped in shooting down some of the missiles and officials are watching the situation closely.
