More than 100,000 New Yorkers partook in early voting for the state's presidential primary, the state Board of Elections told Spectrum News 1 on Monday.

In total, 100,756 registered party voters partook over the eight days early voting was available.

Of those, 55,879 came from the New York City region, where as 44,877 early votes came from the rest of the state.

Election Day is Tuesday. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. You can watch live coverage on Spectrum News 1 beginning at 8 p.m.

New York is a closed primary state, meaning only registered voters in those parties can take part. The state has about 6.5 million registered Democrats and 2.7 million registered Republicans.

Appearing on the Democratic Party ballot is President Joe Biden, Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips, who suspended his campaign, and author Mariane Williamson, who exited the race but recently re-entered. Appearing on the Republican ballot is former President Donald Trump, as well as former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, the latter three having suspended their campaigns.

Both Biden and Trump have already secured the required number of delegates to be their respective parties’ presumptive nominees.
