The November general election has arrived, with early voting kicking off Saturday, Oct. 29 and running every day until Sunday, Nov. 6.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Anyone eligible to vote can vote early, though your early voting polling place may differ from the one assigned to them on Election Day, the final day of voting.

If you requested an absentee ballot but want to vote in person, you will have to fill out an affidavit ballot. Absentee ballots can also be dropped off at early voting sites while polls are open.

Confirm your voting location by visiting the New York state Board of Elections site here.

New Yorkers heading to the polls will vote for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state comptroller, and one of the state’s U.S. Senate seats. There are also races for representatives in Albany in the state Assembly and the state Senate, as well as state and local judges.

Voters will also decide on a statewide ballot proposal that would authorize $4 billion in bonds for climate and environmental projects if approved.
