Republican former Rep. Lee Zeldin is launching a firm to specialize in public relations, crisis management, strategy and acquisitions, he announced on Tuesday evening.

Zeldin, the 2022 Republican nominee for governor and a former congressman from Long Island, plans to take on corporate and individual clients with the company, Zeldin Strategies.

The launch of the firm comes after Zeldin earlier this year announced he was forming a political action committee, Leadership America Needs PAC, and has endorsed fellow Republicans in recent weeks including a handful of GOP freshman from New York.

“Throughout my career, I have continuously pursued my passion for public service, in the military, in elected office, and elsewhere," Zeldin said. "While continuing to do my part to contribute to my community and country, I look forward to the professional opportunity Zeldin Strategies offers to employ an exceptional private sector team, and help individual and corporate clients expand, prosper, and maximize their full potential.”

Zeldin has not ruled out another bid for statewide office, either another run for governor or a bid for the U.S. Senate.
