Stepping into the role of executive director is Alex Elmasri, who served as politicla director for the 2020 election cycle. Koren Frankfort will be taking a leading role in fundraising, staying on as the committee's chief financial officer.
Rantzaklis, who has been at the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee fo more than a decade, is departing for Brown and Weinraub to become a senior advisor with the firm starting Monday.
It's been a successful cycle for Democrats in the state Senate as the conference gained a supermajority, flipping several seats in upstate cities for the first time in decades, including Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse while also holding several key suburban districts.
"Evan has been an outstanding part of the DSCC team for over a decade and his hard work through the years played a crucial role in our historic victories. He deserves our thanks and we wish him well in the future," said Sen. Mike Gianaris, the Queens lawmaker who leads DSCC.
"Our new leadership team of Alex Elmasri and Koren Frankfort will keep the DSCC successfully moving forward. Both Alex and Koren were integral to winning our supermajority and we look forward to many more victories with them leading the team."
