September marks National Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Month.

A-fib is an irregular and often very rapid heart rate and it's something you may have without even knowing it.

Dr. Jen Caudle, a board-certified family medicine physician and associate professor at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, joins Spectrum News 1 to discuss how common a-fib is, some of its biggest misconceptions, why a-fib is often missed and misdiagnosed, warning signs, ways patients can communicate with their doctors and more.
