Oneida County offices in the city of Rome have been relocated to an emergency location while recovery from last week's tornado continues, county Executive Anthony Picente Jr. announced Tuesday.
Beginning Wednesday, residents should seek relief services at the county's new, temporary location at the former Berkshire Bank building at 100 W. Dominick St., in Rome. The county’s office location at 300 W. Dominick St., was damaged in the July 16 tornado, Picente said.
The county’s mobile unit services operating at North James and Liberty streets will also be shifted to 100 W. Dominick St., which will stay open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week before transitioning to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours beginning July 29.
The county’s Department of Motor Vehicles office in Rome will remain closed for the foreseeable future. DMV services are available in Utica, or online at dmv.ny.gov.
The offices at 100 W. Dominick Street can be reached by calling (315) 356-2800.
