Craig Ross Jr., the suspect that police accused of kidnapping a 9-year-old girl from Moreau Lake State Park, pleaded guilty in court Wednesday to kidnapping and predatory sexual assault of a child.

Ross, 46, revoked a not guilty plea and now faces 47 years to life in prison under a plea agreement accepted by the judge. He's expected to be sentenced on April 17.

Ross was taken into custody in early October at his mother's house in Milton, following a massive search for the 9-year-old girl, who was found alive in a cabinet at the house, according to state police. The girl had vanished while riding her bike in the park Sept. 30, prompting a weekend-long intensive search involving hundreds of search-and-rescue personnel.

Two days later, officials say Ross drove to the girl's family's home and left a ransom note in their mailbox. A fingerprint match from the note, police said, led them to Ross.
