Many are familiar with the "12 Days of Christmas." The song is full of lots of fun stuff gifted by one's true love. Unfortunately, scammers love taking this time of the year. 

Breanna Fuss spoke with the Better Business Bureau's Kat Schmieder to let us in on the 12 scams of Christmas, which include:

  • Misleading social media ads, which couples with top holiday wishlist scams
  • Free gift cards - scammers just want your personal information
  • Look-alike websites - what should people look out for? 
  • Fake charities
  • Fake shipping notifications 
  • Puppy scams - experts say 80% of sponsored pet advertisements may be fake
