Looking for a way to welcome 2024? Check out a list of parties happening around the state.
In Syracuse, the Downtown Committee has compiled a list of activities happening on the holiday and there is a lot going on.
“There are dozens of parties going on in downtown Syracuse and what’s neat about that is that there’s some that are earlier in the day. I know there are some folks that don’t like late-night parties,” said Vanessa Szwejbka, a spokesperson for the Downtown Committee.
There are some activities that are dinner-based happening well before the ball drops in addition to the classic parties that take place at some of the hotels downtown, Szwejbka said.
“A lot of the activities are over 21 however, the most has a lot of activities going on New Year’s Eve throughout the day for kids. There’s certainly still shopping taking place but unfortunately, the ice-skating rink is down for now,” she said.
Szwejbka recommends getting tickets ahead of time and doing some planning for New Year’s Eve in downtown Syracuse.
“As we get closer to Christmas, a lot of these are going to start to sell out because they do have a reserved number of tickets and the biggest thing is planning ahead obviously encouraging everyone to make sure they have a designated driver,” she said.
