Police once again jumpstarted search efforts for the remains of an upstate New York girl.

State police in New York and Vermont restarted the search on Nov. 11 for evidence in the homicide case of 12-year-old Sara Anne Wood. Wood was last seen on Aug. 18, 1993.

She was on her way home riding a bicycle along Hacadam Road in Sauquoit, when officials say she was taken.

A cursory search was started in the Green Mountain National Forest after new information was found through follow-up interviews.

The area included approximately 29 acres in the Dome Hiking Trail at White Oaks in Vermont.

More than 80 officers from the New York State Police, New York State Forest Rangers and the Vermont State Police assisted in the search.

Search efforts came to an end on Thursday after police say no evidence or remains were found.

However, the New York State Police say they will continue to look for Wood's remains.
