The Newfield Central School District's budget was approved in a revote Tuesday night.
The school was forced to hold the second vote after the original budget proposal did not garner enough support by district voters last month.
The budget needed 60% support to pass and they got there this time, with more than 69% voting for it.
School officials were able to cut the the tax levy in about half from the original proposal down to 8.5%.
In total the budget stands at $22.2 million, up a little more than 2% from last year.
Newfield was one of only two districts deemed in "significant fiscal distress" by the New York State Comptrollers office earlier this year.
