Syracuse University will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative test to enter the Carrier Dome starting Saturday, March 26, in a COVID-19 policy update released Wednesday.

Officials say the update comes in the interest of maintaining consistency with new guidelines seen from stadiums across the state, as infection rates go down.

Officials say COVID-19 policies for larger events in the stadium, such as Monster Jam and the Paul McCartney concert, are to be determined by the event promoters.

As far as masking goes, the stadium updated its guidance several weeks ago. Remaining unchanged is a requirement for masking among unvaccinated guests, except when eating and drinking.

Vaccinated visitors are allowed to be maskless, although, under the "yellow" level the university currently sits, masks are required in indoor and outdoor spaces when social distancing cannot be maintained.
