The family of a Jamesville teen who was shot and killed law by enforcement last March, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.
Judson Albahm was killed after pointing what appeared to be a handgun at officers.
Those officers were responding after he ran from a mental health crisis team taking him to St. Joseph's Health Center.
That weapon turned out to be a BB gun.
Judson's mother claims she called 911 asking for police assistance in getting her son to treatment, and telling the dispatcher and responding officers Judson owned a BB gun and had threatened "suicide by cop."
The suit names the Town of Dewitt Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, two officers, one sheriff's deputy and a state trooper who responded and fired their weapons.
