We're learning more about last week's officer-involved shooting that ended in the death of a DeWitt teen. The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as 17-year-old Judson Albahm.

He was shot on Apulia Road in Jamesville last Thursday.

Officers from multiple agencies responded, along with a mental health outreach team from St. Joseph's Hospital. Investigators say Albahm tried to run and then raised what appeared to be a handgun, and officers opened fire. They later learned that Albahm was holding an air gun designed to look like a real pistol.

Four of the responding officers fired their service weapons. They have been identified as State Trooper Corey Fike, Sergeant Amy Bollinger with the Sheriff's Office, and DeWitt Police investigators Lucas Byron and Matthew Menard.

The shooting will now be investigated either by the district attorney's office or the attorney general's office.
