The state will open six COVID-19 testing sites across Upstate New York Tuesday to address the sharp rise in coronavirus infections and provide New Yorkers additional options for testing, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Friday.
The sites will offer rapid antigen tests in the Capital Region, Central New York, Finger Lakes area, Hudson Valley and Western New York region. Walk-in appointments will be available.
Operating hours on Tuesday will be 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., though the Capital Region site will remain open until 7 p.m. on that day. Here are the site locations and regular hours:
- Crossgates Mall, Albany, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday
- Grace Baptist Church, Mount Vernon, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday
- Regional Market F Shed, Syracuse, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday
- YMCA Carlson MetroCenter, Rochester, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday
- Patriot Hills Golf Club, Stony Point, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday
- Western NY Northwest Buffalo Community Center, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday
Additional sites throughout the state are being planned and will be announced soon.
“We will continue to expand testing availability to every corner of the state, evaluating where more capacity and additional sites are needed soon," Hochul said.
