All transports from the Oneida County Correctional facilities to outside courts have been temporarily suspended due to an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the jail.
All court appearances, except for scheduled trials and other emergencies that may come up, will be done virtually from the Oneida Correctional Facility.
As of Tuesday morning, 21 prisoners and 15 corrections officers have tested positive for the virus.
The change in policy will remain in effect for the next two weeks, and will be reevaluated daily to determine if the time frame can be shortened or needs to be extended.
