The Friday Night Matchup featured a showdown between West Genesee and CBA at Alibrandi Stadium.

The Wildcats were coming in with a 2-2 record, while the Brothers were 3-1.

In this game, it was all about the defense.

The Wildcats were absolutely dominant on the defensive side of the ball, shutting out the Brothers in this crucial meeting.

Offensively, Genny was able to find the end zone three times with scores from Dominick Burris, Kenneth Davis and Jeremiah Newkirk.

After the game, the Wildcats were happy with the effort on both sides of the ball.

"I feel like this year our defense has been amazing," Adrian Marino said. "We came off a big game last week, and I think we just capitalized. We had a great game defensively and offensively, and we got it done."

West Genesee will look to keep rolling next week, when Fulton visits Mike Messere Field, while the Brothers will look at bounce back at F-M.

If the Hornets win, they'll take the American Division title outright. If F-M loses, it'll be a three-way share between West Genesee, F-M and CBA.
