Officials in Madison County are cautioning boaters from taking their vessels out on Oneida Lake.
Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood issued a no unnecessary travel advisory on Oneida Lake Saturday night.
He says the water level on the lake is dangerously high which is leading to shoreline flooding and some hazards on the water.
He says the high water levels are hiding shore walls, rocks and other dangers for boaters.
Hood went on to say with the rain the region received earlier this week, coupled with the potential for what could come with Henri, people should stay off the lake until the waters recede.
