Work will resume on Utica's new multi-million dollar recreation and sports facility.
A funding agreement was reached Monday for the Nexus Center in Utica.
The Oneida County Legislature approved an agreement between the county and the Upper Mohawk Valley Auditorium Authority.
The county is backing the Aud Authority for bonding. The authority will make yearly payments of $700,000 and up for the next 30 years.
Project leaders say the Nexus Center should be complete within a year.
"It's our hope by passing this agreement and moving that money to the contractors, they can start up pretty quickly," Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente said.
County leaders also announced a lawsuit brought forth by the construction company working on the Nexus Center has been withdrawn.
