Outdoor pools in Syracuse will reopen on June 24 and July 1 with advance registration, Mayor Ben Walsh said.
Kirk Park, Onondaga Park, Schiller Park and Thornden Park pools will be the first to reopen next Thursday, followed by Lincoln Park, McKinley Park and Wilson Park pools on the first of July.
The advance registration method, which was introduced last year to maintain numbers at the pools during the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue this season.
Reservation times for open swim will be available in three time slots: Noon – 1:45 p.m.; 2 – 3:45 p.m.; 4 – 5:45 p.m.
Reservations can be made for open swim, which is free of charge, by calling the individual pools between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Reservations will be taken up to two days in advance for up to 10 people.
