NYSEG Stadium is preparing to see fans again this summer in Binghamton. The Rumble Ponies' home opener is May 11 against the Altoona Curve.

This season will be a special pne for baseball fans in the Southern Tier. When cuts to Minor League Baseball were announced, Binghamton was one of the franchises that many believed was on the chopping block.

"We haven't played baseball in over a year. There were rumors the Rumble Ponies would not be here anymore. The fact we're still the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets and we're going to be playing baseball is pretty exciting for me and the community," said Rumble Ponies Managing Director John Bayne.

There will be social distancing measures put in place throughout the stadium. Fans will also be introduced to pod seating to keep everyone safe.
